That sounds lovely Chuckyv!!!
I very much like the idea of a handwritten and -drawn version of the short story!
Would love to have one.
Please let us know when it's available.

Congrats, John, on your 3rd anniversary! What would we do without you on the forum?
My 3rd anniversary will be on March 21--Sason's 50th birthday!
And it's on a Saturday so I might have a cocktail or two!

VANILLA SKY underrated? OK...I didn't think it was all that bad. I thought Jason Lee was great. I do remember Cameron Diaz's immortal line to Tom Cruise when he's trying to dump her:
"But I swallowed your cum, and everything!"
My jaw just dropped to the FLOOR...

Today is my third anniversary with the Dave Cullen Forum. In some ways it doesn't seem that long, because time has passed quickly; in other ways it seems like I've been here forever, because it's such a part of my way of life now.
I never thought it would last this long, when I first joined, just wanting find out a more information about a film. If understanding of a film was all that I'd found here, I'm sure I would have moved on long ago. But I've found a real community here, as we all have.
Thinking about it, there are several parts to this being a community. For one thing, I've found so many people whom I consider good friends (some of whom I've seen in person often, and some of whom I will probably never meet in person, but friends all the same). For another thing, I've also found a major "hobby" here, meaning something that can occupy all of my time when I let it, and that is the book club, which involves reading a book and then participating in some very in-depth discussions. Related to this are threads for discussing other books we've read and movies we've seen....many of them unrelated to BBM.
A third part of this being a community, for me, is the existence of threads where we can share knowledge about personal interests totally unrelated to movies and books. Examples of these would be the Weather thread, the Diet thread, the Poetry thread, the Pets thread, the Orchids thread, and the other various photography threads like Life Through the Lens. And a fourth part of this being a community is its educational threads, whether in the Gay Experience threads or the Hot Topics threads, or in The Daily Sheet.
There is always something new to look at, or something to think about, or someone to talk to, here, and for that I am very grateful.

and don't forget the daily sheet, which took me a few months to get interested in, but now i wouldn't miss. kudos to a string of editors who one by one have grown into the job and added their own touches.

Thanks, Sonja and Fritz and Jack.
I did mention TDS, Jack.
There's a lot of variety right there, education about the whole world, and beautiful pictures, and humor, and fun contests.
