Spoilers for this season-

Do you think as vampires get older they become less effected by silver?  Maybe that is why Eric could help himself?......

I don't know.  It seemed to affect him when he was chained to the altar at the church...Sookie rescuing him and all that (wasn't the chain made of silver?).

Perhaps that just how the screenwriters wanted it.  The toils of writing a weekly series..........   Wink

OK so really have no idea as to who is the killer, but am trying to think about it... It has to be someone who is a vampire hater, as I think they tried to make the killings look like vamp killings... BUT the bodies were not drained of blood...

Hmmmm - I wonder if I even know of the character as yet...?

Sam - maybe...

BTW Renee is really hot too so I hope its not him Smiley

The "True Blood" Paper Doll Collection

Right now it's only Bill, Sookie, Lafayette & strangely, Pam but more characters will be added on a weekly basis, apparently.

I really liked this episode!  All of it.  Yeah, the entire show may be over the top, but it's cool , refreshing and fun.

It ended waaay to soon, though.  I hollered at the teevee when I saw it was only a quarter of the hour and Bill was entering the queen's house, dripping blood, then..............black screen!  There was still more time!

I agree, it was a very fun episode.  I think it was the first time we actually saw outdoor shots of Bon Temps, isn't it?  I've been wondering about that town which up until now had been pretty invisible.
That 'meat Tower' is something else, but where is Carl going to get corn-fed Kobe beef in Bon Temps?   Cheesy

Update

Just watched the Grans funeral episode... So sad... I can not believe she is gone...

It was difficult to focus on the serial killer angle when it was a sad episode, but I stand by the fact that its someone anti vamp, although not sure if its Sam now, as he seemed really surprised when he got to Sookie's... Although have not ruled him out completely...

Also there is a strange dog which keeps appearing... hmmmmm

Can someone tell me if they think I should have spotted something else by now...

(Also this episode had Jason naked at the end again, so that kinda throws the mind tooooo   Grin )

Zudos...you seem to be exactly where you should be with your questions!  I feel like you are writing what I wrote back in the days of early True Blood watching!  Keep up those theories!

Re: this Sunday's USA episode:  oh dear.  Oh, damn.  For the first time I was watching a scene (mob scene) and I thought: s--t, this is silly.  Wish I could believe it was meant as parody...

Still, having liked the series so far, I'm not going to abandon it now.

Everybody and his blog has been doing a piece on this series, and the NYT is back today with (I think) their third:

http://www.nytimes.com/2009/08/28/arts/television/28blood.html?ref=television

It has a sort of bemused "it is what it is" tone.  Gotta confess that reading it I noted something that completely passed me by in watching: the significance of naming the "Light of Day Institute."

Thanks Castro!  I love the blogging but have not read very much lately!  I am curious to read this one!  I always assumed Light Of Day was in reference to vampires never seeing it so now I am really anxious to read what you learned!  Off to read!
