We had a pretty nice turnout in San Francisco today, and the weather was perfect.
ptannen's spouse, David, was one of the speakers at our rally. I wasn't able to get close enough to get a pic, but killersmom did get a couple that she will post soon.
We had a very long day. Our little group consisted of michaelflanagansf,City Girl, Melisande, killersmom, RichChan, xqsmwa and me.
We had breakfast at our usual hangout not too far from City Hall, and we got to the rally just before 10:30.
It was a very nice day.
Tell you what...
it's so easy to get out and join a protest rally in a place like San Francisco where you're surrounded by thousands of like minded people.
But it takes real guts to stand alone for something you believe in.
I'm very proud to call Jack my friend.

Jack sent me a pic of him at his protest.
Here's the "Tough Old Bird" now!
First they came for the communists, and I did not speak out - because I was not a communist;
Then they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out - because I was not a socialist;
Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out - because I was not a trade unionist;
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out - because I was not a Jew;
Then they came for me - and there was no one left to speak out for me.
Martin Niemöller
Thank you so much Jack.
With much love,
mf
