BUSH=false intelligence

 LOL of the day!

Unfortunately, the problem with being proved right about Bush is that there is absolutely no satisfaction whatsoever.   Cry

It is enough to make a cat laugh.

My point is, how on earth can these people look themselves in the mirror (Wallace included) and
CLAIM to BE fair and balanced in their coverage of news - political or otherwise?
I mean, it defies any known logic OR reasoned interpretation..

What I don't understand is: "Why on earth do you watch Fox News?".
There are several other Sunday morning news/analysis/pundit offerings on other channels.

Some in the GOP want a "Shadow Government".

Bush urged Republicans not to abandon their core conservative principles in favor of a "Democratic-lite" agenda. Still, the GOP does need to do some real soul-searching, he said.

"If you take the [last] two election cycles, there's real cause for concern, no question about it," he said.

Oh Gary, Fox is like pulling the scab off an old wound.
I just can't seem to help myself, it's there and it's annoying and well, when I'm scooting
around with the remote I glance then stare, pop-eyed. Never say though that I watch
anything on Fox in its entirety. I just root around, like a raccoon in a garbage can.

On Sunday, when Meet the Press gets boring (as it often does these days - I mean, Laura Bush
and Ted Turner?) and when Stephanopolous's clueless talking heads rile me, I become a
casual grazer of channels. Then later I go to CNN for Wolf's round-up.

I know, I know, I'm gonna' give myself a heart attack one of thes days. Cheesy

Lyle, this is one of the funniest pictures EVER!
I love it!!!
It is EXACTLY how a cat WOULD laugh.
If a cat COULD, I mean. Wink

It's also one of my very favorite old lines.
About the cat laughing, I mean.
I've used it before and I'll use it again.
So save the pix.

Nah, you're fine.  To be honest my wife and I do the same thing on Sunday mornings though she has much less patience with Fox
(and she is in control of the remote),
so we seldom stay on Fox for more than a nano-second.
It is better when the grandkids have spent the night,
then I am busy in the kitchen making a mess cooking them breakfast and,
consequently, am not paying as much attention to the talking heads no matter
which channel they are on.

I'll tell you what was refreshing, however.
Obama's news conference introducing his latest folk, (Hillary et al)
It was the probably the first time in several years that we did not change the channel immediately.
So very refreshing to have a leader who speaks in complete sentences.
I mean, nouns, verbs, direct objects,.....the whole package.
Whoopee!

My daughter bought me Barrack Obama's book, "Dreams from my Father," I started it today and from the couple of chapters I have read so far, I would say that the quality of the writing is quite outstanding.

Yes, it's very refreshing to have a leader who actually speaks known English.
AND who can pronounce NUCLEAR as it was intended.
Not to mention, IRAQ!

I've watched all his press conferences since the election.
In the first one, I thought he seemed a bit nervous.
(And who can blame him?)
But then he got going.
And now he's like an old hand.

I've generally liked all his picks for cabinet and such.
Can't wait to see what happens after Jan. 20th.

No, ghost writer!
I would think he would have made it as exceptional figure in American literature, if he wasn't a politician.

This is fun.
Check the windows.

I have just been reading it. Highly recommended! I keep having to say to myself - this is the man you have had the amazing good sense to elect, it really is the most inspiring thing. He can most certainly write, he knows his own mind, he's highly intelligent, he really has seen how the other half live - I was gobsmacked. Let's hope he can hang on to all this.
