arquette is a flake, but a lovable one if you go for that sort of thing.

the child singer drives me nuts, she sings like she is singing around two jawbreakers, swallowing her words.  shrill may not be pleasing, but there has to be some edge to words.

and i still don't think classical music is for dancing, and what the hell was bad romance doing in there?

Jack, one of my biggest complaints about Dancing/Stars (and other dance competitions) is the music that is used. I want my latin dances danced to latin sounding music and my ballroom stuff danced to ballroom sounding music. BUT I did like most of the dance/music combinations this classical night.

And then they go and ruin the evening with the poor hiphoppopper who was sick but can "dance" again. Fit right in with the rest of the theme.

as a star turn, the featured dance was lame to say the least.  i am just enduring dwts until sytycd starts later this month.  it should be interesting to see how they manage without a second day.  the word is that the talent pool this year is killer.  (of course they would hardly admit it if they sucked)

Loved Dancing/Stars triples tonight. Hope that is something they continue doing once a season.

America's Got Talent starts again next Monday. YEA!

The Dancing/Stars audience got it right again tonight. Twice. Good on them.

And tonight featured DanceCentral with Kenny Maine and Jerry Rice and Len. Always funny.

I don't know much about Stern except he used to be a "shock jock" and since I never heard any of his broadcasts I just assume that means he was obnoxious on air. There is a whole long list of people I would much rather NOT be a judge on Am/Tal!

He was on The View today and was pretty gabby. didn't say anything too off the wall. Just didn't let anyone else, Elizabeth included, get a word in edgewise. Going to be interesting watching him and Howie at the same desk.

Jack, have you seen this

Plot Summary for
"Breaking Pointe" (2012)

Series goes behind the stage curtain for an intense, unfiltered look at one of the most competitive ballet companies in the country, Ballet West, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Beneath the beauty and glamour of the dance and costumes is a gritty dog-eat-dog world of extreme athleticism, focus, dedication, passion, pressure and, of course, the hunt for the unattainable perfection.

there is also out there a very striking ad for university of arizona dance program called "real men can dance".  turns out that have a very active dance track, and unlike most studios, they are awash with male dancers, over 50 at last count.  their  credentials and physical plant are outstanding.  who would have guessed.

here's the link

Tomorrow is Dancing/Stars season finale and the awarding of the most coveted trophy in the dance world (according to Dancing/Stars.) I have to admit I didn't watch at all last week or tonight and am not planning to watch tomorrow. THAT's how much I like America's Got Talent. Dancing/Stars is down to the final three... the RIGHT final three... any one of whom I can support as the winner. I DO think Katherine Jenkins and William Levy are a tad better dancers than Donald, and would give Katherine the slightest edge over William. But they are definitely the best of an exceptionally good bunch this time around.
