Dancing/Stars got it wrong last night. Gladys, Melissa and Darren are still there and Sheri is not.

Its a popularity contest. But I'm with you about Gladys, she really cannot move. Darren tries and Melissa I can't even watch. There is just something about her that irritates me as a dancer.

Yes, it IS a popularity contest... which makes Sheri's departure even more mystifying. She's on the View and has another show. It's not like Jael or Melissa who are has beens or William or the Welsh girl who people in the US are unfamiliar with.

Oh, and the ballet dancer who did the tango last night moves like a ballet dancer and not a ballroom dancer. I never gave it much thought before, but I expected him to prowl/stalk across the floor like the ballroom pros do. Interesting.
two in one day.  he was spectacular as a dancer but he was all wrong for tango.  the one grand jete smashed any illusions.  karina, although she dances the ballroom tango is far to delicate far anything like argentine tango.  it should have been cheryl who spent a month in argentina recently learning from the best.

i don't know who should have gone home last night, but i didn't think it would be sherri who i thought had handled herself very well.  melissa seemed a more likely candidate.  maybe she will step down since she was injured and they will give sherri another week.

in idol news, phillip phillips is still hanging in there, but the judges are getting critical.  if he wins there is no way he will be as commercial as some of the others, so they need to edge him out.

I forgot this is where idol stuff goes.  I just started watching again.  I really like all of the contestants at this point.  I wasn't shocked by last night.  I have a feeling they may have saved any of them except maybe the blond.  I think this is the best season of contestants in awhile!

if i can't think of anything better to watch i leave it on in the background in order to catch the phillip phillips performance live.i saw the jessica sanchez version of stuttering and thought it highly professional and marketable, even tho i find myself wanting to smack her self satisfied smirk off her face.

phillip phillips is, against all odds, a sexy mofo.  i thought it was just me, but i keep seeing it mentioned in adult reviews of his performances.  he gives me funny feelings in private places i know.  sexiest nebbish evah.

William Levy hurt his ankle in rehearsal and may not be able to dance tonight. Couldn't he just stand there shirtless and wiggle his butt while Cheryl gyrates around him? 10-10-10!

So Billy danced and I'd rate him third best of the night. Just ahead of him and tied for first are Katherine and Donald.

Gladys or Gavin should go next. Then Melissa and Jaleel and Roshon, not necessarily in that order.

The Voice-
I know, I know.  It sucks!  I really was betting that Jordis would pull it together and win.  She needs to find herself!!  Bummer!

I wouldn't say it sucks. I just think it is not as good talent-wise as last season and Dancing/Stars is better than it has been for several years. I've been sort of keeping up with The Voice on the weekends since it is rerun both Staurdays and Sundays. Sorry about Jordis. I still haven't found anyone on there to root for, but I AM glad some of those strage sounding females are gone!

That is the thing....Jordis isn't strange.  She has an amazing range for a rocker chick.  I am over it though!  I think there are way more talented people on American Idol now!

I didn't mean Jordis sounded strange. I like her (even if I only know which one she is because YOU pointed her out.) But there were a couple who sounded like they were singing in whispers or had the hiccups or weren't quite sure where their next tone was going to come from or sound like. Blake and Adam both seemed enchanted with all of them... well, Blake is enchanted with cute girls period... but I got tired of them saying "you are really different" or "your voice is really unusual." Duh! unusual and different because other people actually know how to sing.

Darren tries and Melissa I can't even watch. There is just something about her that irritates me as a dancer.

Melissa is hard to watch, but unbearable to listen to. (or actually, to watch her face while she talks.) terrible actress even playing herself.

there are a LOT of "stars" i dislike on that show. the little runt who's always mugging who is always trying to tip his hat and be michael jackson or something also bugs me a lot.

and then there is the host, that ghastly hollywood squares douche.

what i'll put up with to watch william, though. haha.
