Our elderly neighbour has just been told she has terminal cancer ....and the Doctors have given her a time of about 3-4 months max. She has always been a keen gardener but struggles to keep things neat now. My husband has offered to do this for her as he is also a  keen gardener but she declined the offer saying what with him working and doing our own garden ...he will wear himself out....but then carried on saying how she missed seeing a "bit of color" out of her window. So.....today we went and bought her a large hanging basket with a large fuchsia in full bloom and have hung it by the side of her window where she can see it.We will tend and water it for her. We will miss Barbra .

I am still waiting for my knee replacement, which is now scheduled for about five weeks time, after that I intend to make up for all the things I haven't been able to do for the last 10 years!
I have time to be a proper granny now, so my grandaughter Orla, who is 2 is coming on Friday afternoon!
That will keep me busy for a start.


My retired friends tell me the same, that they are busier now than they were when teaching!  I'm so happy that you'll have time for proper Granny-ing now! 

Good luck with the knee replacement.  I have a feeling there will be no stopping you once you're more mobile again!   Grin
