Didn't really know where to post this. It's sad (vicissitudes) but with what we hope was a kind gesture(joy and happiness)

Our elderly neighbour has just been told she has terminal cancer ....and the Doctors have given her a time of about 3-4 months max. She has always been a keen gardener but struggles to keep things neat now. My husband has offered to do this for her as he is also a  keen gardener but she declined the offer saying what with him working and doing our own garden ...he will wear himself out....but then carried on saying how she missed seeing a "bit of color" out of her window. So.....today we went and bought her a large hanging basket with a large fuchsia in full bloom and have hung it by the side of her window where she can see it.We will tend and water it for her. We will miss Barbra .

Suely, I am so sorry to hear about your neighbor. It is so hard to deal with a situation like this.
Know that you have brought some thoughtfulness and color into her remaining days.
