Dear Jackie,

Thank you for being a great friend.

For having me to your apartment for a luncheon,
for helping me continue making some big changes in my life.
For talking to me on the phone when I was sad,
for giving me advice about how to find volunteer work.

For your laughs and your smiles,
and your way of always looking on the bright side of things.
You never talked about your own problems --
that's why I didn't realize at first that you were so sick.

How I hoped that we could meet this January at the Red Lobster,
as you had suggested.
Just a little thing, but I remember the way you said you loved their clam chowder,
just as I loved their trout.

How I hope that we can still meet again someday when you are feeling better.

But in the meantime, I remember the last time I saw you,
Giving us a ride back to the hotel after the Sunday dinner at the DC Slash Bash.
I'm so glad that you were able to take that three-day weekend off
and enjoy being with all of us while you could.

Please know how much I am thinking of you now.

Here is a post from Jackie January 2006 - Could not quote it as the thread is locked...

We are a family in the best possible sense because we choose each other.  I admire and respect each of you for the insights into yourselves that you have chosen to share, for isn't that what this film teaches us...to share of ourselves with those we love...to BE ourselves for those we treasure.  Let's go on from here.[/b]

This really sums up our wonderful Jackie's heart and spirit Smiley

Oh Wayne, thanks for this.

I can't think of a time when I needed Jackie and she wasn't there for me, it just never happened. She has always been available, no matter the hour, no matter what difficulties in her own life.....she was always there for me, and for so many of us.

Remember Jackie, we've still got a date to go to the Delaware Art Museum to see the Pre-Raphaelites, whenever you're ready!

When you walk through a storm
Hold your head up high
And don't be afraid of the dark
At the end of the storm
There's a golden sky
And the sweet silver song of a lark

Walk on
Through the wind
Walk on
Through the rain
Though your dreams be tossed and blown
Walk on
Walk on
Oh walk on

Walk on
With hope
Hope in your heart
And you'll never walk alone
You'll never walk alone

You'll never walk alone

Amen

Dear Jackie,

We've never met or talked, but the love of your Forum friends are reflections of the love and kiindness you have brought here.  My thoughts and prayers are with you now and always.

Jackie,

You and I don't bump elbows often here on the forum, but that made no matter what so ever when we met first in Chicago then in Estes Park.  Your loving embrace and instant friendship is what always stands out to me when I think of you - which I do often.  You are an inspiration.  David and I send all our love to you, a small portion of what you send to all of us.

The very first Brokie even I went to was in Colorado last year.  Jackie was there.  I didn't get to spend a lot of time
visiting with her, but there was one thing that struck me about her...........   I noticed that all the people in Colorado
flocked to her.  It was so very, very clear how much she was loved by everyone there.
Everyone !

Jackie makes us all feel special.

I pray that God will hold her hand thru this journey.

FOR JACKIE

I believe for every drop of rain that falls
A flower grows
I believe that somewhere in the darkest night
A candle glows
I believe for everyone who goes astray, someone will come
To show the way
I believe, I believe

I believe above a storm the smallest prayer
Can still be heard
I believe that someone in the great somewhere
Hears every word

Everytime I hear a new born baby cry,
Or touch a leaf or see the sky
Then I know why, I believe

I BELIEVE
