Whoooooooeeeeeeeeeeeee!  My copies of Variety arrived yesterday.  If you ordered it, keep the faith!

PS:  Love the banner ads!  Wish there were a way to know how many hits we've got and how many folks have joined the forum ...

PPS:  just visited 'defamer' and did not find our banner.  I refreshed several times and searched, no luck.  They're pushing 'Hard Candy' ... are we sure it's being run there?

Yep. One day I had to refresh 10 times in a row and then our ad popped up the next four times. It is kind of odd the way it rotates. But I will check to be sure. We paid for the largest ad with th efewest impressions, but I hope we haven't used them all up by now!

I couldn't see the Ad Banner either, and I must have refreshed more than 20 times.

It is actually on the article pages today. I found it with the "Adam and Steve" article. Per our agreement, if they move it off the homepage for a day (due to what they call a "homepage takeover"), then the impressions won't count. Rest assured (as I was by our rep), it will be back on the first page soon.

Finally! Our biggest web ad buy has started!

For the next couple of weeks, we will be running four ads on the Slate website which will garner 1.4 million views.

Thanks to the many of you who have made this happen through your donations and your hard work.

Also a big thanks go to our members Ned and Chris Fava for seeing the ad campaign through to completion and for working very hard to get these Slate ads completed. They look great.

This ad campaign has been an incredible experience, not just for us and our forum, but for establishing BBM as a true fan favorite (no other fans of a movie have ever done what we have done, folks) and for setting a precedent for Internet activism in this manner. Everyone should be very, very proud.

Better yet, we know James Scahmus, Ang Lee, and all of the rest noticed. We know the world noticed as well. What a wonderful community we have here and wonderful tribute we all made to the work of art we love so much, to our little darlin'.

Thanks again to all of you!!

I'm happy to hear that people are receiving their copies of Variety.  I was coming here to ask if anyone had.

This is good to know.  There is still hope that my three copies will arrive!

I don't see a UBBF ad on Slate.com, doesn't even come up in a site search.

I don't think they put their advertisers in their site search responses.

We have four ads that rotate on all the pages on Slate. Sometimes, one has to refresh a number of times before one of our ads pop up on the page one is on due to the large number of ad campaigns Slate runs at one time.

Yep, my 46 tries to your 20, Zuraffo  Grin

P.S. forgot to say how good it looks.....good job pplz.  As long as you stay on the page it holds for a while too, and you can see the ad in motion.

I tried Slate numerous times yesterday and the day before and never did see our ad. I didn't have the patience to refresh many times. Today I got lucky. Went to the site and it was the first ad I got. It really looks great!

P.S. For an update on another campaign, please see the last few messages regarding the book we're putting together at http://davecullen.com/forum/index.php?topic=8935.795. You have a chance to give your input regarding titles and subtitles and then in a couple of days, interior graphics.
