I keep coming in and wanting to say something profound, but what is there to say?  Except SHIT why did he have to die?   Cry Cry   And I won't see his character attacked (especially as he is gone and can't defend himself)  by all accounts he was a straight up wonderful man..  And a brilliant actor.

I know I'm late in answering this, but all I can say is I agree 100%.

"But I think Heath Ledger was my favorite out of all of those," Liam adds, "and just simply an inspiration.”

Meanwhile, "Dark Knight" co-star Gary Oldman said he had initial concerns about working with Ledger on the film.

"I kind of raised my eyebrow at the casting," he said. "But any concerns that one may have had vanished when you got on the set with him. I did a couple of scenes with Heath in the first leg of the shoot in London. I called a friend and he said, 'How's Heath?' I said, 'He's breathtaking. He's going to be astounding.' I could tell just working for five minutes with him.

"If Heath does get an Oscar nomination," he added, "I can just picture him up there, looking down and going, 'F---!' "

Oh I know, so many many people have not forgotten.   The lives he touched with his short time on earth.... Cry

I feel bad, but I have zero interest in another Batman movie, I'm afraid that franchise ended for me when Heath passed..

When Joker made Batman cry

London, June 6   Actor Christian Bale couldn't hold back his tears when he saw late actor Heath Ledger on screen while introducing the trailer of his new movie "The Dark Knight Rises".

Emerging from deep lurkdom to post this video. It may be old news--I haven't been around much--but I thought it was very striking.

His movements...his twitches and ticks....his constant hand gestures....Oh yes.....I can see a lot of Heath there as well as some of the Joker. Mostly his voice.

Yes, I was quite surprised--a sort of odd choice for inspiration, but a good one.

A Knights Tale is on TV next week (On 'Watch' of all channels) and surprisingly, Barry Norman highlights it
in his Radio Times column.
I only noticed this as I was turning the pages because there's a picture of 'Will' on horseback, from the film, that I noticed. (I think it's when he goes to where he used to live and finds his father)

I just have to mention a few words that he wrote that of course sum up what we all feel.

'Our protagonist is the late and still lamented Heath Ledger ...'

'This was Ledger's second significant leading role after 10 Things I hate about you and he handles it with a grreat deal of charm'

He sums up the film by saying  'OK. it doesn't all hang together but the story is told with such good humour that it's easy to overlook the faults'

I love AKT, a lot more than I thoght I would. Heath was wonderful in it, and one thing it did show was how good he was at doing 'light' stuff as well as drama.

Of course, he could do everything wonderfully well.

10 Things ... is also on next week.
