I really can't face the idea of him being " edged out" . I want the flame of his life and his talent to burn brightly for years and years to come. He has a place in my heart that can never be replaced by anyone else.

**I feel the same way.
And I just don't feel that true emotional memory is weakened.**

Hear!  Hear!  Sue.

Couldn't have expressed it any better myself.

And as for all that talk about the emotional stuff diminishing, I have read that people still lay flowers at the grave of Elvis Presley and weep.  He didn't exactly die yesterday, you realise?

**I always think of this too.  These are such touching posts.**

I agree...i have the DVD, but have watched it once (except for several rewinds of cute heath scenes)...not even all the way through once heath was gone....it was just too sad, mainly because he just didn't look well and looking at him makes me wonder how he was feeling and what was going through his mind.

Long live planet!!

**It was the same for me.  I felt so bad; he didn't look well at all and was having so much to worry about in his personal life.  It just makes me sad.
I don't know; just can't explain it very well.**

Matilda is turning 6 years old this week, Heath would be so proud of his beautiful girl and would of been so happy and proud with the way Michelle has done such an amazing job bringing their Matilda up

So glad that Michelle is allowing Matilda to be " a little girl"....not like some stars who want their girls ....and some times boys ....to dress and be grownup before their time. Well done Michelle  Smiley

Yes.... his quirky style needs to be preserved and who better to do it than Matilda herself. Smiley

I've just stumbled again upon this old quote from a Vanity Fair article. It struck me then and it still does. I don't know why but thinking of Heath will always make me feel sad, like something is missing, something big, from this world.

"When anything is blocking my head or there’s worry in my life, I just go sit on Mars or something and look back here at Earth. All you can see is this tiny speck. You don’t see the fear. You don’t see the pain. You don’t see thought. It’s just one solid speck. Then nothing really matters. It just doesn’t."

                                                              ^^^^^

Sad as it may be....this is what always came across to me. An in built sadness .....a deepness that verged on being on the "dark" side.
What a statement about life to come up with ....at such a young age. He seems to have been looking  so deeply inward most of the time. Searching almost for a reason for even being here. But how I love and miss this man.

I purchased at Kmart (USA) today ($7.50):

A 4 Movie DVD (Echo Bridge 78869) MIRAMAX CON-MAN SERIES containing:
TWO HANDS / THE YARDS / ALBINO ALLIGATOR / THE LOOKOUT

I couldn't find TWO HANDS locally when I looked in late 2008,
I had to order it online.

Two Hands is not easy to find.  I had to order it online too   It's good except for this one part with the two boys.

**Ditto.  I wish I/we could have helped him.**
