Back to feathers, away from pottery a little bit.
I brought in the Minerals.

OK, I think I see leaded glass, onyx, jade . . . how close am I, and how bout the others?

My favorite is the orangie jade.  They've managed to convey the owl totally with the stone used.

Leaded glass, do you mean the big one?  I only got three of these by myself and I'm not sure about that one.   I think the podium is pyrite, though.

The blue and white is sodalite, the dark one looks ebony black in the picture but is deep purple and is amethyst. The smallest is crystal, green and purple I am assuming is fluorite.  The round one on the right is probably just white marble painted orange and brown.

Have you ever been to the Mineral Show in Tucson? Smiley

Good night and careful with those earthquakes.  Smiley
Thanks Gerry, we are alright but Peru looks bad, doesn't it? Cry
You watch out with the rain, too.

Well as you can tell, I'm not up to my mineral knowledge.  As to the leaded glass, I was talking about the smaller one in the foreground.

Regarding Peru, it sure seems like it's looking worse as more time goes by.  I hope they get help to them soon.

This is a cool thread, and I've finally taken pics of what I have to put here.  I have a lot of pics, so I'll be putting two in each post.

When my collecting started, my inner child was in control!    Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

My favorite cartoon as a child was "The Super Friends".  There was a bit of memorbilia/marketing stuff out at that time, but my parents wouldn't buy me anything.  Some of what I have now, I got off of ebay.  Other stuff was released on the 20th anniversary of the cartoon's debut.  Let's start with two 8X10 pics of the "core group".

From the debut season, 1973.  The "core group" was Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman, Robin, Aquaman, and sidekicks/heros in training "Wendy, Marvin & Wonderdog".

From the 1976 season, after 3 years, Wendy, Marvin & WonderDog were replaced by the Wonder Twins (Zan & Jayna) and their pet monkey, Gleek.

The last 4 cels in the series, make me laugh.  The characters were created to make the cartoon "multi-cultural", so heros who were black, Native American, Asian, and Mexican were added.  However, their names were not originated from their powers, but from their race.
