I get a big kick out of seeing Heath on any show cuz he's always dressed so strangely. Then when they showed the dress Michelle wore to the Globes and said Heath picked it out it all made sense. I can totally relate though cuz although I'm gay I have zero fashion sense. Thank God I have a clothes horse partner to look out for me. And what a good sport Michelle is for going along with it, ha ha.

If you don't like it, fix it.

A woman letting her fashion-challenged fiance pick out her dress?!?  Now THAT is true love.  Cheesy

I posted this on our press related thread but thought it would be good here too.  This article has a link back to this thread so let us show our best to those who come this way:

The only problem with the Oprah segment was that it was not long enough. She should have devoted the entire program to the film. She obviously promoted the film and this will influence her viewersin a positive way.  The most impressive aspect was the way these four young actors handled themselves- consumate and talented professionals. Remeber how young they are and how they shared the spotlight and spoke so positively about each other. When the eyes of the public are on them, to be able to be so charming and professional is amazing.

Lets hope Oscar showers this  special film with awards.

Am I so out of fashion that I'm the only one who doesn't know what Heath Ledger has on his feet in the first photograph on p. 56?  It looks
(though it can't be, surely) like he's wearing spats.  Anybody?  (And I love the second photograph).

I think it's actually two-tone boots he's wearing.  You're referring to the brown upper portion of the leather with black under it.

Ha ha ha, they look like my LL Bean Duck shoes. Great for wearing when its wet. I laugh about what Heath wears cause its much like I'd pick Grin, over the top.

OK, I have finally read most of the negative reactions in this thread. I disagreed with most. Oprah promoted OUR film and I'm sure BBM will make more $$$ because of the show. Heath, Jake, Anne, and Michelle were just radiant. Heath was wonderful redirecting the one low down question. I could have lived without the lisping, limp wrist description by O but she was just trying to make a point that the film was breaking stereotypes. Overall, good job Oprah. I would have liked the full hour though.

This picture shows the different body language between Heath and Jake.  I know Heath doesn't like doing interviews, but he really looked like Ennis at times!  OTOH, Jake was so relaxed.  He seems a natural TV performer.

Thanks for posting this picture, I really like it.

Speaking of body language, I think this photo shows how close Heath is to Jake.  Often he's twisted in the opposite direction of the interviewer--suggesting a desire to keep a distance.  It's the appeal of Jake's presence that turns him around.

Just wanted to say that I was amazed at the chemistry between Heath and Jake. WOW!!! Such sizzle. I think they really share a special connection and have really complimentary personalities. Loved their ability to communicate with just a look, the way they deferred to each other, the obvious warmth and camaderie between them, the flirting  Wink and how loving and respectful they are to each other. Heath and Michelle are totally in love but to me that doesn't detract from the fact that Heath has a very special place in his heart for Jake..and we all know that Jack Nasty loves his Heath!

They were respectful of each other's opinions, each glad to have a companion where none had been expected

I love this quote. It highlights one of the most beautiful aspects of Jack and Ennis' love - that they never try to change each other, just accept each other as they are. That's real love  Smiley

How wonderful, something I had not seen in the film. Guess after multiple readings and three viewings I still need to go back to learn more - and keep up with the posts here. In 20-20 hindsight of the Oprah show, I see the same relationship between Heath and Jake.
