Yes Lydia, it is the comments after the article that was put in TDS on Monday.
It is in AfterElton where the original article was from.

The first is the snarky comment and the second is the one I quoted above.

Ah, thanks. I was trying to see if there was a way we could build on that comment for a little more exposure for the book.

It would be good to try to find out where on AfterElton he was tipped about the book.

I do remember seeing that. It was very early in the book timeline. We got quite a few web hits on BeyondBrokeback.com as a result of it.

Virgin Megastore, in L.A. at least, is starting a sale on the BBM special edition dvd.  Since it is in a slip-case, I have been slipping the business cards inside it.

We've been tracking the ranking of Beyond Brokeback on Amazon since even before the book was made available to them. We got a little interest expressed then having them marked "Unavailable. We do not know if this book will ever be available." about killed us. But now it's available and climbing in rank. It's also available on Amazon in England and Germany!

AMAZON RANK IN BOOKS
4-May   #440,519
16-May   #218,641
29-May   #106,162
24-Jul   #2,454,154   This is what being "unavailable" did for us!
27-Jul   #37,647

Lydia, do you know what the rank is based on?

Is it searches and hits?  or sales?  Or a combination?

Interesting, Lydia, cause I was looking at the offering on Amazon just a bit ago.  Why is only the paperback available?  Just curious.

Hi, Jackie,

We've asked WingSpan the same thing many times.  Undecided  They tell me they have sent info on both editions to Amazon and Amazon has just not added the hardback yet. Amazon seems to be a little difficult when little folks want to communicate with them!

Check out amazon.de and amazon.co.uk. Germany and England seem to have no trouble listing the hardback.

We're going to try another tactic. We want them to add the "search inside" feature, so we're going to send them the files of the hardback version and see if that will do the trick.

Right. I'm also pretty sure the rankings are based on sales.   Cheesy  YAY!
