Sure hope that Jack fella is keepin' dry up there with them sheep. Hope he got the tent up ok. Missin' him a lot when he's not here, like ta hear his stories sittin' by the fire. Never missed anyone like that, hardly ever think of K.E. even thoughs  I saw him ever day fer 19 years. Can't wait tell Jack comes back fer supper, mebe the rain 'll let up some, he'll come early. Hope he like's this horse I'm carvin', sure wish he was here in the tent beside me outta' this rain.

 Some Folks thought that our long faces an tense manner were cuz we wuz cross with each other an only happen'd on that last trip. Wuzn't so, we wuz always upset bout leavin'on the last day of bein' together from the very first time we met up again after Brokeback, both all torn up inside, but I wuz never mad at Jack or he at me. Evey time since we met again, just before we'd drive away Jack an me grab on and hold each other so hard   the other wouldn't feel him shakin', just stay like that long as we needed. Then when we'd ease apart we'd lookaway not sayin' a word so not ta show the tears a rollin' off our faces, but each knew they wuz there, then climb inta our pickups till next time.

Ennis...Ennis can you hear me? I'm right her beside you bud. I can't ever tell you how much it means that your up here with me in my room. When I was growing up, didn't have no brothers or sisters, no other kids around.. Always had chores after school, no one would come all the way out here to play. The toy rider, the little pickup, nobody's hands on 'm but mine. And now here you are in my room where I lay in my bed at night praying to the Lord to bring me someone so I wouldn't feel so all alone. And he sure answered my prayers bud, that day so many years ago when I first saw you, know 'n  I was a goin' to spend summer with ya, I knew then the Lord gave me Ennis Del Mar, you are  my very best friend, been everything to me, became a man with you that summer. Now don 't ya go worrin' about me always wishin' for what cudd'a' been, I'm save 'n a place for us and we'll be together for always.
Ennis..... could you please look in on my mama from time to time, it been so hard for her, I know you will bud...I know I don't even have' t ask.
One more thing Ennis.... I...I love you so very much Ennis.
