yes, this one definitely could retire to the fire.  actually, you didn't have to wait 30 or 40 years, LOL. Wink

No, I have to say, at the time it was the height of fashion and was actually very becoming - made a satisfactory impression on my then boyfriend, anyway. Cheesy

I don't know if this is the right place to put this but I wanted to let anyone in the DC/VA/MD area know that my friend and I are doing a crafts fair at the rec center this weekend.   Here is a poster with all the info

I just discovered an amazing fashion designer: Sruli Recht is based in Iceland and uses unconventional materials: Translucent lambskin, skunk fur, the skin of stillborn lambs, horse hair, glass, wood, meteorites. and even human skin...the guy is a genius!

Forget me Knot ring made of human skin

Vest made of translucent lambskin

Skunk fur coat

And so much more!

Okay I have my own little board and I posted that pic of that dress earlier saying it was by far my favourite of the evening.  And something quite different than anything else I had seen, no one agreed with me, no one.  Maybe I need to get some gay men on my board! lol   Or people with some taste.

Stunning, just stunning!

Didn't know this. The guy who designed Mrs Obama's Inauguration Day coat and dress is an ND grad. But I guess his boyfriend isn't.
