This is a question for the person who was responsible for the graphics in the ad.  I was just wondering, that picture of Jack being hugged from behind by Ennis, was it cleaned up? I have that picture and there are white streaks flying around them, I think it was ash from the fire, rising in the heat, but I don't see it at all in the picture in the ad, and I was wondering if it was cleaned up with Photoshop.  I ask because If so I may ask one of the Art Directors/Designers where I work to clean up the image for me.

Thanks!

Just a quick note to say that I just ordered my copy of Variety. Can't wait for it to get here. And, in honor of the ad, I'm playing hooky from work to go see this wonderful movie one last time on the big screen before it goes away. After Sunday night's travesty, this ad feels somewhat healing--I feel like in some small way, the forum has done something constructive to "fix" the situation.

I want to thank everyone involved in the creation of this ad. It is absolutely brilliant! It's beautiful and gets its point across in a classy way. What an amazing group of people.

Can anyone who has a sure access to Variety Daily mail me two copies of friday's issue?
I will immediatly pay you via people for the copies, the postage and handling.

I cannot get it where I am in Canada and I am so afraid that the remaining stock will be sold out at Variety before I get to them.  Sad

Thanks

Hey, you guys are tying up the phone lines on the 800 number and I can't get through!  Grin
After being on hold for a while, I was able to order a copy--but with no guarantees...  As someone said, this is a new phenomenon for them, and they're just trying to figure out how to deal with us fans! I got the impression that most of the phone operator confusion has been resolved, but you never know...  Wink

I apologize if this has been addressed previously on another page, but has Gustavo Santaolalla's name been corrected on the camera-ready version being sent to Variety for printing?  I would hate to see Gus' name wrong in the publication.  Thanks and keep up all the good work!

YES!!  I can't stand that they haven't changed it in the press release link, but hopefully it's been changed for the AD

I sent the press release to the publicity department of Focus Features in New York. The person I spoke to had NO idea and was stunned that we did this was pleased. He will forward this to the California office.

Emailed Presss release to:  The Globe and Mail; The National Post; Etalk Daily (CTV); Entertainment Tonight Canada (Global entertainment); Star TV; Global News - Toronto.  Now sending to Global News in Edmonton and Calgary.

If the phone No. for Variety has been posted, please post again to save time going through the pages.

Same for me. For the first time since Sunday night, I'm feeling "all perky" like when Ennis returned from fishing trips.

Oh, no, I have been trying to find somewhere in Alabama to buy it, but if you can't find it in Boston, I am doomed!!!
Kathy, I can't find it! Even Out of Town News in Harvard Square doesn't carry it. So I placed an order over the phone, but who knows how many extras they will have. Maybe they can print more if they have all of these pre-orders?

Does anyone know if it will be posted on the Variety online page? Can we get a nice .pdf or some other version to print out and get framed if we don't get the Variety?
