Apologies if someone has already mentioned this, but Draft 8 misspells Gustavo Santaolalla's (not Santoalalla) name.

Guys, I hate to say this but the Oscar site has his name listed as --> "Gustavo Santaolalla"  draft # 8 has it as SantOAlalla which is not correct"

http://www.oscar.com/oscarnight/winners/bestscorecategory.html

IMDB --> http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0763395/

Again SUPER SUPER JOB!

Just sent press releases to:

The Indy Weekly, Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, NC

Phoenix New Times, Phoenix, AZ

Lawrence Journal World, Lawrence, KS

The first two are arts and entertainment publications, the third is the local paper in wonderfully liberal Lawrence, KS (home to Kansas University and yes, Kansas is the state where the words bigotry and ignorance are re-defined in the state legislature almost daily).

Does any one know Central Time = ?? GMT.
I tried calling Variety to place an order for tomorrow's edition and ask about international shipping. Their offices are closed. I am in Turkey (+2 GMT)_ and it is 3:38 PM here.

Thanks again
Central time is +6 but isn't variety on the west coast which is +8??

Hi everyone,
I am brand new here--just joined yesterday to be part of the ad campaign. I made a paypal donation and have posted the press release on the IMDb Brokeback Mountain board.

I  also emailed copies to the major media outlets here in Portland, Maine--Portland Press Herald, TV channels WCSH 6, WMTW 8, and WGME 13.

"How did it happen, En? How did we end up on that mountain together?”

“I dunno, babe,” said Ennis. “I don’t think we’ll ever know. But we did.”

I like version 8 very much. Tastefull and gentle.

My one suggestion (I know this is the final version) would be to change "two people who don't even exist, Jack and Ennis" to "two people who exist in our hearts, Jack and Ennis." Or is that too trite?

The Ad is WONDERFUL. Just LOVELY.

Thank you ALL so very very much.

More than anything over the past few weeks I wanted to say "thank you" to all the people who made BBM - and to let Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhall how much we value what they did. I hoped the Oscar would do that. But this is better. It makes that statement for all of US....

And we won't stop here!

I want to add my thank you to those of you who organized, and created the ad and press release (and who are still hard at work at it). You produced something beautiful, in a very short amount of time, and gave all of us who were outraged and saddened by Brokeback's snub at the Oscars a positive avenue into which we could filter our frustrations, sadness and anger.

I am proud to be a member of these forums (though I post rarely). I am overwhelmed by the sheer number of monetary donations by so many people, and I am incredibly moved by the action taken, and the possibility of future action with the leftover monies.

I haven't read all of the posts in this thread, but it's clear that Pete, Dave, Ned and everyone else involved in the business details and task of creating the perfect ad heard and responded to member suggestions and comments, making this a group endeavor as much as possible. It sounds as though you have all been giving this 300%, and I can't say how much I appreciate your work, nor how glad I am that people like you - who take action, make a difference, and try to represent the views and opinions of so many - exist.

Many, many thanks.
