(Short story) Thinking about this week's TOTW, it suddenly struck me what an enormous step Ennis has taken, to have progressed from the quick, rough sex of Brokeback (but of course the gentler moment too of the Dozy Embrace) not only to being able to kiss Jack passionately regardless of who might be looking, but also to be able to call a man "little darlin", words that came from his tenderest moments with his girls and horses. If that's not a declaration of love I don't know what is - even if he himself is perhaps unaware of saying it.

I've started reading most of the scene-by-scene threads, but honestly it's gonna take forever to get through all of them... so please forgive me if anything I say has already been rehashed and discussed a million times!!!

I feel the same way, so probably this video has been mentioned before. But I bet lots of lurkers still read here, just like me, so I thought I'd post this:

Sigh.

Ennis's breath came slow and quiet, he hummed, rocked a little in the sparklight end Jack leaned against the steady heartbeat...
Later, that dozy embrace solidified in his memory as the single moment of artless, charmed happiness...
Let be, let be.

LOL

That's the first time I've seen that!  It's my favorite scene in the movie!

I'm currently searching all over YouTube to find a similar video of the second night in the tent...  Grin  Roll Eyes
