Do you know if Focus is planing to open in more theaters?
Yes, they are. There original plan was quite conservative. They're re-evaluating the plan each week based on the prior week's returns.

Thus far, every week they've opened even wider than they expected. Most industry followers indicate that while Focus was planning on going from 700 to about 900 theaters this weekend, the figure is now just shy of 1,200.

The Brokeback Mountain site does have a release schedule page, but in an unending source of frustration, they are never up to date (it's now Thursday, and the schedule for this weekend is set, but they haven't updated it yet!).
