If we're right about pissing in the sink as a metaphor for Ennis accepting his sexuality, then it's reflected in the three scenes with sinks (and mountain prints) where Ennis's growing sexual status is shown, when he flips Alma, when he gets the postcard, and when he's outed.

Pissing in a sink is a sign/symbol that one has accepted one's sexuality?  Where oh where oh dear lord where did this come from?  To which sicko pyschotherapist,or  weirdo mythology do you refer.  Or are you saying AP has invented a whole new world of sexual identity symbology?

Yes, I noticed it but a simple little word like "if" can, around here, have several dozen meanings.  Whut?

hmmm, I like the sound of that..and I concur with Mini.
She makes even the sparkling arc of pee in the moonlight almost poetic, no? it is meant to be erotic.....Not a far leap at all to tie in the freedom of sink-peeing with that interesting  pee-fest under the moon on BBM, as Ennis remembers that old, cold time-he has after all just awakened from a horny Jack dream-and basically says, 'I don't give a shit if this is the 'right' place or the wrong place; I'm doing it where I want to.' Now if only he could get out of that trailer and put it SOMEplace......

Humanity, I fear, places a value on benefits relative to their costs.  Lucy probably had the right idea as, perhaps, did Lindner.

Fortunately, I don't have a clue what you're on about, otherwise I might be insulted. And you wouldn't want that, would you.

I didn't know that the pissing-in-the-sink scene was in the movie. Smiley
It's not on my DVD; what a rip-off!
Maybe it'll be in the ultrasuperduperdeluxe 2 year commemorative edition as one of the deleted scenes.

Perhaps, but if it exists, they probably used a stunt double.

At least five cents.  One less thing for us homophobic straight guys to worry about.  When using a public restroom, the rules are now quite clear.  The straight guys are using the toilets and the urinals and the gays are pissing in the sink.  What a relief.
