I remember.

I discussed this with Chuck a while back and am finally getting around to posting.

I have a large collection of mostly magazines, but some clippings, related to BBM the Movie and Jake Gyllenhaal, with a small amount about Heath Ledger. All of it was purchased in my own personal frenzy after seeing the movie.

They've sat in boxes till now and in my quest to de-clutter, it's time for them to find new homes. I just don't want to throw them out.

I have no idea of the value today and certainly don't remember how much I paid back then. And I'm not trying to recoup my expenditures.

If anyone is interested, please get in touch with me and I can let you know what I have.

Thanks

Dan

Hollywood Costume , sponsored by Harry Winston, opens at the V&A on 20 October 2012. Tickets are available from www.vam.ac.uk/hollywoodcostume

Vincent/gattica sent me this link. It is somewhat in the future, but just wanted to let everyone know about it in case you will be in the area at this time.

http://fashion.telegraph.co.uk/news-features/TMG9028004/Hollywoods-most-memorable-costumes-to-go-on-display.html#.TxmZtSrz9tM.mailto

It mentions BBM designs:

Other costumes in the show include Joan Crawford's bugle-beaded gown from The Bride Wore Red , Tippi Hedren's pale green suit from The Birds , Kate Winslet's twill suit from Titanic , Jack Sparrow's get-up from Pirates of the Caribbean , Gwyneth Paltrow's sumptuous yellow gown from Shakespeare In Love and the designs worn by Jake Gyllenhaal and Heath Ledger in Brokeback Mountain.

I thought this would be THE place to share.  A pen & ink drawing I did in 2007, of the iconic BBM movie poster, is now listed on ebay, and I see there is one bid on it.  I am  new to this ebay selling business, and am testing the water here, and listed a low starting bid. If any of you are interested, the bidding ends on Saturday late morning/ early afternoon. Take a look. If you look under Brokeback Mountain> Entertainment Memorabilia> Movie Memorabilia> Other,   that will take you to the listing.

JAKES BOOTS

I have a pair of Jake's boots I purchased on ebay when the film was first released. It was the pair he wore in the rodeo. I have a copy of the original listing  along with the boots. I also have a letter from HRC who ran the auction to prove the item is authentic. I m reaching out to this community because I was hoping a collector of this movie would ultimately purchase them from me. If you are interested, please contact me privately at gmni2@aol.com. This, I feel is an important film in history and hope to interact with someone who feels the same.

Best regards,
Sam

I wonder what buildings they're talking about.

I don't remember any of the shooting locations I've seen being in that sort of place.

Hi -- I have been on a quest to locate Mad Magazine #465, which is the one that had the spoof on Brokeback Mountain. Searching the web today, I found this link that says I can download the magazine for free! I really only want to satisfy my Brokie curiosity-- but I'm afraid to download anything!

Any advice?  Would you do it, or run the other way?

My virus programme blocks the site, Ellen - so probably not a good idea to have anything to do with it.
