Simply fantastic!  You need one of those bean cans in your
display case, though, for the piece de resistance!

Thanks Mooska (Lyle) for your response.  I was beginning to think everyone in this thread was asleep or in a coma! . . .OK, here are the pictures of the South Florida Brokeback Shrine (featuring the newly framed additions):
Close-up of the "jewel" in the Guest Room corner
A NYC friend told me the other evening that now I have it all . . . I get to sleep underneath Heath and Jake (Ennis and Jack) every night, and so do my guests.
I am a ding dong..didn't even know we HAD a "Memorabilia" thread !
I read about it on the DS and came here to check it all out!
Congrats to all you lucky lucky people on your cool stuff from our precious Brokeback Mountain !
Rodney, how FANTASTIC your stuff is and the pictures are so great !  Really shows us all up close and personal like !
WOW
LOVE it !

Beautiful collection Rodney!

I got my second autographed poster. Looks pretty much like the first one so I won't post a pic.

I hope to get them both framed later this month. Never enough time.

Thanks BCJ for your kind words -- always appreciated!  Framing is a major consideration for these autographed items, especially in a climate like the one in which I live -- only about 6 miles from the ocean.  I still have a bunch of autographed 8 x 10s that need to be framed and fortunately I still have plenty of room to display them.  My very best wishes and congratulations again on the wonderful items that you have acquired.  Stay tuned for a photo of Ennis' fishing net, which I expect to receive by end of next week.

trinket, a most hearty welcome to you from the rest of us nuts here in Mem. thread.  I look foward to hearing more from you in the future.

Jack, tell ya what, you'd be welcome anytime you can get over to this coast of Florida.  I'd be proud to have you as a houseguest.  I ain't jokin.

Anyone else in the south Florida area, or planning to visit the area, just let me know if/when you'd like to visit the "shrine."

Dave has an important announcement about the forum, which he asks all members to read:

http://davecullen.com/forum/index.php?topic=18085.msg602098#msg602098

We have set up a thread to discuss the situation. That discussion thread is linked from the post directly below the message from Dave. Follow the above link and you'll get to both.

Thanks

As I promised in a post from two weeks ago, here is a photo of Ennis' fishing net, which just arrived today.  It is now proudly displayed among the rest of my treasures in my display case.  The net is accompanied by a small engraved brass plaque which says, "Brokeback Mountain -- Screen Used Prop -- Ennis Fishing Gear."

Thanks, all, for your kind words.  This shrine I live in reminds me 24/7 of our incredible story and the magnificent film which spawned this unique and awesome community of which we are a part.  Keep watching here -- I may have news of another acquisition this weekend!  I'm keeping my fingers crossed, and hopefully the fishing net won't be alone for long!

Anyone traveling to south Florida is welcome to come and pay homage in the shrine -- no charge, natch!

Close-up of the "jewel" in the Guest Room corner

You know, as a rule I am utterly uninterested in celebrity signatures if they aren't made out to me. But damn. This is one I would like to have had. Jake and Heath inscribing as themselves AND as Ennis and Jack. That is a crown jewel indeed, Rodney. (Though wouldn't it have been nice if instead of "quit you" Jake had quoted "nobody's business.") The other things are very nice, but THAT is special.

Thanks R&R, for what you posted as well as everything else that you do to enhance our wonderful community.  Love all of your photo captions, and I look forward to them every day, although I haven't taken the time to express my pleasure.

I've noticed about the many autogrphed things that bear both Heath's and Jake's signatures that quite freuqently they will sign with some kind of additional expression as well as their character names in quotes.  Haven't seen the "Nobody's business but ours," but it would really be appropriate.  I've seen many an occurence of "All my love" from Jake and I've even seen a "Such is life" from Heath!  But my "jewel" is so precious, and I'm so happy to share it with others who really appreciate it.  You may be interested to know that people who have actually seen the "shrine" in person have consistently remarked about the B/W art print of the dozy embrace (in the living room group).  The more I see it, the more I value it for the beautfiul piece of art that it is, as well as what it stands for.

Rodney, for all of us who love this story so much, the fact that you have created this magnificent shrine and have welcomed us to view it, is both very exciting and very comforting. You have become the archivist of BBM. I cannot think of better hands in which to place this treasure.

Thank you for the kind words. I wonder if they'll still be so kind when you've read what I've done to so many old Christmas favorites.
I'd love to take you up on your general offer to view the shrine sometime. Where in Florida do you live? My mother has a house in Naples.
